Machine Operator

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a skilled Machine Operator experienced with laser cutting, plasma tables, hydraulic press brakes, metal saws, and metal preparation tools. Experience operating Trumpf laser machines or similar high-performance laser systems is strongly preferred. You’ll work in a dynamic production environment where precision, speed, and teamwork matter every day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·Operate and maintain Trumpf laser cutting machines or similar systems to cut metal accurately and efficiently.

· Run and monitor plasma tables, hydraulic press brakes, metal saws, grinders, and deburring tools for part processing and finishing.

· Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and fabrication drawings to ensure parts are made to spec.

· Conduct quality inspections using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.) to confirm tolerances.

· Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting to reduce downtime.

· Assist in material prep, handling, and maintaining an organized work area.

· Work closely with team leads and fellow operators to maintain daily production goals.

· Follow strict safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

·Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· 2+ years experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing role operating industrial machines.

· Direct experience with Trumpf or similar laser cutting systems.

· Skilled in operating press brakes, metal saws, and using grinders and deburring tools.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.

· Ability to read blueprints and follow written work instructions.

· Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

· Dependable, motivated, and a team player.

Preferred Qualifications

· CNC or fabrication training/certification.

· Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles.

· Forklift certification a plus.

· Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.

·If you are tasked to drive as a part of this role, then it is required that you have a clean driving record and a current Driver's License that is not suspended or expired.·Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.·Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
