Material Handler I

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Material Handler I for a contract position with a Global Life Sciences Company located in San Diego, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This position is responsible for providing shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods and inventory. The ideal candidate will pick, pack, and process items, verify incoming materials, and operate distribution equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment
• Receive materials and/or finished goods on a daily basis, verifying the quality, type, and amount of materials received
• Process shipping orders using basic computer knowledge
• Safely operate distribution equipment as required
• Operate within all ISO standards pertaining to site Distribution
• Follow required Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and good practices
• Respond to customer service and other external department inquiries regarding order requirements
• Operate DELL Tablets for transactions

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Functional knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to understand, interpret, calculate and analyze team metrics
• Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice
• Strong attendance and punctuality

Pay range: up to $20.00 per hour
