Job Description
We are looking for a Controller to lead core accounting operations and provide dependable financial insight for the organization in Kansas. This role is suited for a finance specialist who can oversee reporting accuracy, guide the close process, and maintain strong general ledger discipline. The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to support informed business decisions through clear financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Direct daily accounting activities while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records
• Manage the month-end close process, coordinating timelines, reviews, and reconciliations across accounts
• Oversee general ledger maintenance and resolve discrepancies to support complete and reliable reporting
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting analysis for leadership
• Establish and monitor internal controls to promote compliance, consistency, and risk reduction
• Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial performance and improve accounting processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning with timely and accurate financial data• At least 3 years of accounting or finance experience, including progressive responsibility in a controllership or senior accounting capacity
• Demonstrated background managing month-end close activities and maintaining accurate financial records
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation
• Experience producing financial reporting that is clear, timely, and decision-oriented
• Ability to analyze issues, identify discrepancies, and implement practical solutions
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
