Temporary Part-Time Landscape Installation Laborer

SIG Landscape is a family-owned business built on trust, quality, and service. We transform outdoor spaces through professional landscape maintenance and installation. We’re seeking a dependable, experienced Temporary Part-Time Landscape Installation Laborer to support our crew with installation projects.

This temporary position offers 24–40 hours per week, depending on project needs and weather conditions. The anticipated assignment duration will be discussed during hiring.

What You’ll Do

Work under the direction of the crew lead to complete landscape installations, including:

• Prepare installation areas by removing weeds, debris, and existing landscape materials.

• Dig holes and trenches; assist with soil preparation, grading, and leveling.

• Install trees, shrubs, plants, sod, mulch, soil, and decorative rock.

• Assist with irrigation installation and adjustments as directed.

• Load, unload, and move tools, equipment, and landscape materials.

• Safely operate hand tools and power equipment appropriate to your training.

• Protect existing landscaping and customer property.

• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.

• Follow crew lead instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.

• Assist with project cleanup and other related landscape duties.

Qualifications

• Previous landscape installation or closely related landscaping experience required.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a crew.

• Able to follow instructions and communicate with team members.

• Familiar with the safe use of common landscaping tools and power equipment.

• Able to perform physically demanding outdoor work with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required only if assigned to operate company vehicles.

Schedule

• Shifts typically range from 4–8 hours.

• Occasional weekend work may be required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role involves outdoor work with exposure to seasonal temperatures, sunlight, dust, dirt, equipment noise, and uneven ground.

Essential duties include:

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching.

• Digging, carrying materials, and performing repetitive physical tasks.

• Using hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment.

• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling landscape materials and equipment, using assistance or mechanical aids as appropriate.
