Packaging Operator Compensation
- Pay rate: $18.45 per hour
- Hours are M-T 4:00 pm to 2:30 am. Safety shoes are required.
Packaging OperatorResponsibilities:
- Operate manual and automated packaging systems for filling, assembling, labeling, and inspecting products.
- Set up, change over, operate, and clean packaging equipment, including weighing scales, filling equipment, bagging equipment, and shrink-wrap equipment.
- Package materials according to standard manufacturing and operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate production records, cleaning logs, batch history records, label reconciliations, and work order information.
- Perform data entry, generate labels, and verify completed documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify basic equipment issues, perform troubleshooting, and report the need for minor repairs.
- Move materials from storage or staging areas and communicate product or process status within the manufacturing team.
Packaging Operator QUALIFICATIONS:
Critical Information
- Second shift: Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
- On-site position.
- Safety shoes are required.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, housekeeping procedures, and safety procedures.
- Overtime may be required to meet operational needs.
Education/Licenses Needed
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of manufacturing or warehouse experience.
- Forklift license may be required.
