Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support daily shipping and receiving operations at our Eden Prairie, MN office. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of shipping and receiving experience, basic computer skills, and experience using a pallet jack. This role is responsible for preparing shipments, receiving deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all items are handled safely and efficiently.
Shipping & Receiving Clerk Compensation
- The pay for this position is $23.00/hr
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Shipping & Receiving Clerk Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Required Availability: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m (some flexibility to accommodate late-afternoon FedEx Pickups).
Shipping & Receiving Clerk Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including labeling, packing, and loading items for shipment according to specifications.
- Unload delivery vehicles and move items to appropriate areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect shipped and received items for damage, compare items and quantities against freight bills or records, and document discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all items received and shipped.
- Perform work under direct supervision, handle basic issues, and refer complex problems to higher-level staff.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of shipping procedures and safety protocols.
- Utilize third-party shipping software, Excel, email, and internet for operational tasks.
- Pallet jack experience required; no forklift operation needed.
- Adhere to safety procedures, including wearing standard safety shoes.
Shipping & Receiving Clerk Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of shipping and receiving experience.
- Experience with FedEx and UPS portals preferred.
- Basic computer skills including internet, Excel, and email.
- Pallet jack experience required.
- Standard safety shoes required.
- Team player with the ability to work independently, with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
