We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Systems Engineer to support risk-informed engineering projects at commercial nuclear facilities. This position focuses on nuclear plant systems, technical evaluations, regulatory compliance, and engineering solutions.
What You'll Do
- Develop technical evaluations supporting nuclear safety and regulatory requirements.
- Support 10 CFR 50.69, STRIDE, and Risk-Informed Completion Time initiatives.
- Research and resolve nuclear plant system design and operational issues.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and licensing teams.
- Manage assigned projects, schedules, and technical deliverables.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of nuclear plant or corporate nuclear engineering experience.
- Experience working for a nuclear utility or at a nuclear generating station.
- Knowledge of PWR or BWR nuclear plant systems.
- Strong systems engineering, technical evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) experience.
- Knowledge of 10 CFR 50.69 or risk-informed regulatory applications.
- RO/SRO license or technical nuclear certification.
- Project management experience; PMP preferred.
Position Details
- Location: Charlotte, NC
- Schedule: Primarily office-based
- Travel: Occasional nuclear plant site visits as needed.
- Employment: Long-term contract.
