Essex Veterinary Clinic is seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Client Service Representative to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming environment while supporting the daily operations of our busy veterinary practice.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

• Be the first impression of the practice for clients and their pets
• Help create a welcoming, professional, and compassionate experience
• Build relationships with clients and support the human-animal bond

Variety in Your Day

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients with questions and scheduling needs
• Schedule appointments and manage appointment flow
• Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately
• Process payments and maintain accurate client records
• Assist clients with prescription refill requests and general inquiries
• Support veterinarians and hospital staff with administrative needs

Team-Focused Environment

• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and fellow client service team members

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Professional, friendly, and compassionate demeanor

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable answering phones and interacting with clients throughout the day
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn practice management software
• Reliable attendance and weekend availability
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Previous customer service experience
• Previous veterinary clinic or animal care experience
• Experience scheduling appointments and managing client communications
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology
• Experience with veterinary practice management software
• Passion for working with pets and the people who love them
