Electrical Foreman - Commercial Construction

JTM Electrical & Technology is looking for an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead commercial and light industrial projects. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in quality installations, develops the people working alongside them, and takes ownership of jobsite results.
You’ll work directly with our Field Superintendent and Project Manager to organize the work, coordinate manpower and materials, and deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Your Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside journeyman electricians and apprentices.
- Plan daily tasks and upcoming work so your crew has clear direction, materials, and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate electrical installations with the general contractor and other trades.
- Track labor hours and production against the project budget, and communicate problems early.
- Identify changes in scope and document extra work promptly with the Project Manager.
- Order and coordinate materials and equipment to prevent avoidable delays.
- Maintain accurate jobsite records, including crew time, progress updates, and field documentation.
- Inspect work for quality and compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.
- Train apprentices, set clear expectations, and hold your crew accountable.
- Enforce JTM’s safety program, including PPE and lockout/tagout requirements.
- Represent JTM professionally with customers, inspectors, and other contractors.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong journeyman-level electrical knowledge and commercial installation experience.
- At least four years of experience supervising electrical crews.
- Ability to manage a project from layout and rough-in through finish work, inspections, and punch list.
- Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to give clear direction, address issues professionally, and make sound field decisions.
- Experience coordinating manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and safe electrical work practices.
- OSHA 30 certification is required. If you do not currently hold it, you must be willing to complete company-paid training.
- Comfort using mobile apps for timekeeping, project information, and field reporting.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned jobsites.
Schedule and Work Environment
This is a full-time field position, typically working eight-hour shifts. Project needs may require overtime or occasional night work.
Work includes active construction sites, indoor and outdoor conditions, ladders and aerial lifts, and confined or restricted spaces. Applicants must be able to perform the position’s essential duties, with or without reasonable accommodation, and use required tools and protective equipment safely.
