Fire Protection Designer

Fire Protection Systems Designer

San Diego Area

We are looking for a Designer with experience in fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems. Experience with pre-engineered systems (such as kitchen suppression) is a plus but not required.

Knowledge in all three systems is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate on systems they are less familiar with.

What you’ll do:

• Design fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems
• Produce shop drawings, layouts, and calculations
• Work with codes (NFPA 72, NFPA 13, and related standards)
• Coordinate with field teams, AHJs, and project managers as needed
• Support pre-engineered systems on select projects (preferred, not required)

What we offer:

• Pay based on experience
• 401(k)
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance

This is a hands-on design role for someone who knows fire protection systems and can produce accurate, code-compliant drawings. We value practical knowledge and are open to training the right person.

To apply: Reply with your resume and a short note about your experience with fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and/or pre-engineered systems.
