We are looking for an organized and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our organization. The warehouse assistant will be responsible for ensuring that cargo is processed, organized, and stored. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
The position is for general help; the ideal candidate is willing to take an active role wherever help is needed. Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are Not limited to:
- Receive and Sort packages
- Process packages
- Create a monthly Inventory list
- Transport packages to Airport
- Sorting and filing of documents
- Errand runs for office supplies
- Keeping an inventory of all packages entering or exiting the warehouse.
- Identify any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
- Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labelled for shipping.
- Managing all inventory with appropriate care.
- Assisting with training of newly employed workers.
- Scanning labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination.
Requirements and Qualifications
To ensure success, you need the ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner. Preferred applicants should be hard-working, focused and have outstanding problem-solving skills.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Must speak English fluently
- Able to pass a background check.
- Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk and climb during the course of the shift.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 80lbs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Pays attention to detail and monitors the quality of inventory.
- Highly organized.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Must have computer skills
- Must operate a motor vehicle
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Good organizational and time management skills
