Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist

Build-Tek Inc., an established building materials supplier in Martinez, CA, is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to join our team.

We are seeking someone who is organized, persistent, and professional when working with customers to collect outstanding balances. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent follow-through, and the ability to maintain positive customer relationships while ensuring timely payments.

Job Responsibilities

• Contact customers regarding past-due invoices and outstanding balances.
• Follow up consistently by phone and email to secure payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
• Send customer invoices
• Maintain accurate records of collection calls, emails, and payment commitments.
• Work with management to address delinquent accounts.
• File paperwork at the courthouse or recorders office to help with collections
• Assist with posting payments and other accounts receivable duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous accounts receivable or collections experience preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable making collection calls and following up on overdue accounts.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Professional, dependable, and persistent.
• Bilingual - Spanish/English is a plus, but not required.

Location: Martinez, CA
Schedule: Full time preferred, but PT would be considered also.
Compensation: Based on experience
