Location: North Houston, TX (Near Beltway 8 and Hardy Toll Road)
Pay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience

Experienced CNC Mill Machinist Wanted

One-Stop Machine Shop (OSMS) is recruiting an experienced CNC Mill Machinist for a permanent, direct-hire opportunity with an established machine shop in North Houston.

We are looking for a hands-on machinist who understands machining processes, takes ownership of setups, and can produce quality parts without constant supervision.

This is a setup and machining position, not a button-pushing operator position.

What You'll Be Doing

• Independently set up and operate CNC milling machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
• Select cutting tools, workholding, fixtures, feeds, and speeds.
• Perform machine setups and make necessary machining adjustments.
• Troubleshoot setup problems, machining issues, and dimensional variations.
• Machine components to specified tolerances and quality standards.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain safe machining practices and consistent production quality.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC milling experience.
• Proven ability to independently set up and operate CNC milling machines.
• Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, cutting parameters, and machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience producing tight-tolerance machined components.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining and setup problems.
• Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection instruments.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8 or more years of CNC milling experience.
• Hands-on experience with 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Experience with Haas UMC machining centers.
• Familiarity with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls.
• Experience with multiple CNC milling machine platforms.

Important: Five-axis experience is highly preferred, but it is not required. Experienced 3-axis or 4-axis CNC Mill Setup Machinists are encouraged to apply.

Experience with any of the following machines is valuable:

• Haas UMC 500 / UMC 750 / UMC 1250
• Ibarmia L3000 Star
• Doosan Mynx 5400 / DNM 6700
• Samsung CNC Mill

CNC Controls

• Haas Controls
• Fanuc
• Heidenhain TNC 640

Candidates do not need experience with every machine or control listed. Strong CNC milling setup skills and the ability to learn different equipment are important.

Compensation and Schedule

Hourly Pay: $25.00–$35.00, depending on qualifications and experience.

Shift: First Shift

Hours: 40 hours per week
