Are you the expert who can keep complex CNC assets running at peak performance?
If your answer is yes to the questions below, you’ll thrive here:
- Have you leveled and laser-aligned machine tools and run ballbar tests?
- Can you navigate Fanuc, Mazatrol (Mazak), Siemens, Okuma OSP, and Haas controlswith Heidenhain exposure as a bonus?
- Do you read blueprints and electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC schematicsand update them accurately?
- Are you comfortable calling suppliers for technical support, sourcing parts, and securing quotes?
- Can you move seamlessly between mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostics and repairs?
What you’ll own
- Preventative maintenance: schedule, execute, and document PM on machinery and plant systems; conduct audits of facility security and utility services.
- Rapid response repair: diagnose, disassemble, replace/repair, reassemble, align, and verify performance (mechanical and electrical).
- Precision setup: installation, leveling, ballbar validation, and laser alignment of machine tools and auxiliaries.
- Rigging and commissioning: rig/install equipment and lay out all required services for integration.
- Electrical systems: install, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, power/lighting circuits, starters, circuit breakers, and solid-state controls.
- CNC and controls: diagnose, repair, and upgrade CNC equipment hardware and wiring; apply Renishaw probing and ballbar systems.
- Rebuilds and new installs: perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic work; document hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC wiring/programming, and mechanical configurations.
- Facilities scope: maintain machine tools plus HVAC, buildings, facilities, and utilities.
- Documentation mastery: create/read/modify blueprints, sheet metal drawings, hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, electrical schematics, PLC programs and wiring diagrams, and circuit diagrams.
- Work management: issue and complete work orders; log activities in the maintenance system; make and receive calls to outside suppliers; coordinate quotes and service visits.
- Fabrication: cut, MIG/TIG weld, and fabricate protective covers, guards, and machine parts.
- Leadership: promote a team culture, train new employees, and mentor lower classification technicians; participate in cross-training across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Safety and 6S: maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area; follow all procedures.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Where you’ll apply your expertise
- Machines: horizontal/vertical lathes and mills, shapers, hobs (Fellows, Liebherr, Pfauter), cranes, hoists.
- Controls: Fanuc, Mazak (Mazatrol), Siemens, Okuma OSP, Haas; Heidenhain a plus.
- Inspection/Setup: Renishaw probing, ballbar systems, laser alignment.
