We are currently seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated Lead Driver to join our team at Santa Barbara Airport.
Job Responsibilities
The Lead Driver will assist with overseeing daily driver operations, ensuring vehicles are transported safely and efficiently while supporting the Site Manager and meeting client expectations.
- Monitor drivers during assigned shifts to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Coordinate vehicle movements and ensure timely transportation between designated locations.
- Ensure drivers follow company safety procedures and traffic regulations.
- Monitor daily productivity and assist in meeting operational goals.
- Complete required paperwork, reports, and operational documentation.
- Train, coach, and mentor new and existing drivers.
- Assist the Site Manager with daily operations and provide coverage when needed.
- Perform driving and vehicle transportation duties as needed.
- Monitor and respond to radio communications.
- Communicate staffing concerns, operational issues, and vehicle-related incidents to management.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Clean driving record for the past 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment.
- Ability to safely operate various types of vehicles.
- Weekend availability may be required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly Pay: $19.00
- Pay Frequency: Weekly
- Schedule: TBD – Based on operational needs
- Work Location: Santa Barbara Airport (SBA), California
