Screw Machine Operator

Local company is seeking dependable and reliable Screw Machine Operators to join our team in Rochester, MI. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining screw machines to produce high-quality precision parts while meeting production quotas and customer specifications.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating screw machines, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to accurately inspect parts using precision measuring tools.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor screw machines to ensure efficient production.
- Run and maintain equipment such as New Britain, Euroturn, Acme, and Davenport screw machines.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Complete production tasks while meeting established quotas and deadlines.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure consistent dimensions, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Use micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify part measurements.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Prepare and package finished parts for shipment to customers.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
Qualifications
- Previous screw machine operating experience preferred.
- Experience with New Britain, Euroturn, Acme, and/or Davenport machines is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
- Knowledge of precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
