Job Description

Job Description
Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control operations within a growing industrial fabrication company. This position will oversee quality activities across specialized cleanroom environments, including plastic and metallic fabrication operations. The ideal candidate brings substantial cleanroom experience, practical ISO 9001 knowledge, and the leadership skills necessary to manage quality personnel, maintain compliance, and support continued operational growth.

Reporting directly to company ownership, the Quality Manager will oversee an established quality team with plans for additional hiring. The organization is currently pursuing ISO 9001 certification with support from an external consulting firm, and this individual will play an important role in implementing and maintaining the company's quality management processes. Although production operates around the clock, this position follows a single-shift schedule with minimal travel requirements.

Why Join Our Client?

Our client is an expanding industrial fabrication company providing specialized piping and fabrication solutions for technically demanding applications. The organization has experienced significant operational growth, expanding its facilities and investing in dedicated cleanroom capabilities to support increasingly specialized fabrication requirements.

This opportunity offers the ability to lead and develop a growing quality department while working directly with company leadership. The successful candidate will help strengthen quality systems, support ISO 9001 certification, and establish consistent quality practices across multiple fabrication environments. The position also offers competitive compensation, a single-shift management schedule, and an opportunity to contribute to the company's continued expansion into high-purity fabrication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead quality assurance and quality control activities across cleanroom fabrication and manufacturing operations.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop quality personnel, including supporting the expansion of the quality department.
  • Oversee inspection procedures, quality documentation, material traceability, and compliance with applicable industry standards.
  • Support ISO 9001 certification efforts in coordination with an external consulting firm, including implementing quality procedures, documentation, and internal controls.
  • Establish and maintain quality management processes, including internal audits, nonconformance reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with fabrication personnel and company leadership to identify quality improvements and maintain consistent standards across production operations.
  • Monitor quality performance across multiple production areas and coordinate with personnel supporting different operational shifts.
  • Serve as a technical quality resource for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working in a cleanroom manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Substantial experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management within a technical manufacturing or fabrication operation.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems, including quality documentation, audits, corrective actions, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience overseeing inspection activities, quality procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead quality personnel and coordinate quality activities with production teams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing quality practices, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work on-site in Reedsville, Ohio. Relocation candidates will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with high-purity piping systems or high-purity fabrication.
  • Familiarity with stainless steel orbital welding and associated quality inspection processes.
  • Experience with thermoplastic fusion processes, including PVDF, PFA, or PP materials.
  • Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other controlled manufacturing environments.
  • Previous involvement in ISO 9001 certification or implementation projects.
