Purchasing Coordinator

Duties

• Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services
• Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with detailed record keeping
• Providing updated order status information to PM’s, including lead time, tracking & related information
• Coordinating with warehouse team to perform quarterly inventories
• Work with warehouse team to maintain proper stock levels of consumable items
• Oversee box sales, including the ordering and confirming delivery of requested materials
• Create invoices to Admin Accounting as items are received
• Monitor purchase levels from vendors to maximize savings and obtain/maintain desired rebate levels
• Support the Purchasing Manager and team in tasks that may not be specifically listed here

Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or related field
• Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and practices
• Understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes
• Ability to effectively negotiate with suppliers
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of production planning concepts
• Experience with sourcing strategies and vendor management
