Material Handler

Job Title: Material Handler 2

Location: West Columbia, SC 29170
Pay Rate: $18/hour on W2
Contract: 3+ Months (Possible Temp-to-Hire)
Shift: Mon–Fri | 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to support manufacturing operations by receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials across the production floor. The ideal candidate will have warehouse or manufacturing experience, basic computer skills, and knowledge of inventory management and material replenishment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, stock, and distribute materials to production areas.
• Replenish production lines and ensure workstations are properly stocked.
• Monitor inventory levels and report material shortages.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computer systems or handheld scanners.
• Perform material movement using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment.
• Conduct kit audits and verify material accuracy.
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1+ year of warehouse, material handling, inventory, or manufacturing experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer skills and inventory system knowledge.
• Ability to perform basic math and read work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification or experience with RF scanners is a plus.
