The Material Handler / Receiving Associate plays a key role in supporting a fencing manufacturing facility by efficiently receiving, inspecting, and organizing raw materials, components, and finished goods. This position ensures accurate inventory control, smooth and timely material flow to production, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work and requires safe operation of material handling equipment in a busy warehouse environment.
ResponsibilitiesThis opportunity offers a stable, year-round work environment with a focus on long-term employment rather than seasonal layoffs. Employees have the chance to demonstrate their value in a project-based setting and potentially earn a direct hire position. Once hired directly, team members receive comprehensive medical coverage fully paid by the employer, paid time off starting at 7 days, and 8 paid holidays each year. A profit-sharing program with vesting further rewards long-term commitment and contribution. The culture emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and continuous improvement, with support for employees as the organization adopts new technologies and modernizes its operations.
Work EnvironmentThe role is based in large warehouse facilities with multiple buildings, requiring regular movement of parts and materials between locations. The work takes place both indoors and outdoors, and employees should expect to work in the elements, including rain and other weather conditions. Wearing full rain gear and loading flatbed trailers in the rain is a normal part of the job. The environment is active and production-focused, with regular use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. As the company transitions from paper-based processes to electronic tablets and inventory systems, employees will work in a setting that blends traditional warehouse operations with modern technology. The dress code is practical and safety-oriented, emphasizing appropriate workwear and protective gear suitable for warehouse and outdoor conditions.
