What You'll Do

  • Manage multiple commercial architectural projects throughout design, documentation, permitting, and construction administration.
  • Lead the production and coordination of construction documents using AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate the work of architects, designers, and drafters to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with third-party engineering consultants, including civil, landscape, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
  • Oversee production schedules, drawing markups, document coordination, and project progress.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage construction documentation schedules and communicate project status, priorities, and deliverables.
  • Review drawings and project deliverables for quality, accuracy, and coordination.
  • Ensure designs and documentation comply with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, zoning regulations, and project standards.
  • Review contractor change orders and payment applications.
  • Lead client meetings and presentations and coordinate tenant review packages, permit submissions, and public agency reviews.
  • Review and process construction submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), and other construction-related documentation.
  • Support effective communication and problem-solving among project stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues.
  • Maintain design integrity while balancing project requirements, schedules, and technical considerations.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • 5–10 years of architectural project management experience.
  • Experience managing medium- to large-scale commercial architectural projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and coordinating engineering consultants.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating construction documentation and construction administration experience across projects of varying scales and complexity.
  • Professional architectural licensure (RA) preferred, but not required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of commercial building systems, construction materials, building codes, and construction practices.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and external consultants.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members.
  • Working knowledge of permitting, regulatory review, construction documentation, and construction administration processes.
  • Experience with large-scale commercial projects, such as retail developments, Class A office buildings, or hospitality projects, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with masonry, structural steel, and/or tilt-panel construction is highly desirable.
  • Broad architectural knowledge and the ability to address technical and design considerations throughout all project phases.
