Position Overview

Proxena Health Group is recruiting an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a temporary opportunity in Springfield, Vermont.

The successful candidate will provide emergency nursing care in a hospital setting, assess patients, respond to changing clinical conditions and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to emergency department patients.
• Conduct patient assessments and identify changing clinical conditions.
• Implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow facility policies, clinical standards and infection-control procedures.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families and colleagues.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting.
• Active Vermont RN license or eligible multistate compact privilege.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Current American Heart Association PALS certification.
• All required certifications must be in hand at submission. This is non-negotiable.
• Current Emergency Department skills checklist completed within the past year.
• One supervisory signed professional reference from within the past two years of employment.
• Personal vehicle required.
• Permanent residential address must be included in the candidate profile.
• All requested time off must be declared at submission.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least three months of previous travel nursing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Important Submission Requirements

• Vermont or compact RN authorization must be uploaded with the candidate profile.
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC and PALS documentation must be provided.
• Scheduling requests must be submitted with the initial application. Requests made after interview or offer may result in an offer being rescinded.
• Candidates must have their own transportation.
