We're currently developing our extraction and processing facility in Ramsey, Minnesota, where we'll be utilizing advanced extraction and refinement technologies to manufacture a range of cannabis products.

About the Position

We're seeking a motivated, technically minded individual to join our team as anExtraction & Process Development Associate.

This is a hands-on laboratory and manufacturing position focused on cannabis extraction, refinement, process development, and production operations.

The ideal candidate has a background in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline, with a strong interest in extraction science and industrial processing.

You'll work directly with company leadership to help establish and operate our extraction laboratory, develop production procedures, maintain equipment, and support product development.

Because we're a growing company, you'll also have opportunities to participate in equipment sourcing, laboratory organization, procurement, and broader operational improvements.

This position offers the opportunity to gain practical experience with industrial extraction equipment and play an important role in building a developing manufacturing operation.

Previous cannabis industry experience is not required. We're looking for someone with strong scientific fundamentals, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Extraction & Laboratory Operations

• Assist with daily cannabis extraction and processing operations.
• Support the operation of CO2 extraction equipment and associated processing systems following approved procedures and training.
• Participate in downstream refinement and purification processes under established safety protocols.
• Monitor and document processing parameters, production yields, and equipment performance.
• Assist with preparation, handling, and tracking of raw materials, intermediates, and finished extracts.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness.
• Support equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance activities within the scope of training.

Process Development & Quality

• Assist with developing and improving extraction and refinement procedures.
• Support process optimization efforts focused on consistency, efficiency, and product quality.
• Participate in product development and formulation projects.
• Help establish and maintain standard operating procedures and production documentation.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, batch documentation, and inventory information.
• Coordinate sample preparation and testing activities with approved laboratories.
• Follow applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Equipment & Operational Support

• Research and evaluate laboratory equipment, consumables, and manufacturing technologies.
• Assist with sourcing materials, supplies, and equipment components.
• Communicate with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and technical service providers.
• Support laboratory setup, equipment installation, and operational improvements alongside qualified specialists.
• Assist with inventory management and production planning.
• Contribute to general operational needs as the company grows.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related STEM discipline preferred.
• Equivalent technical education and relevant laboratory or manufacturing experience will also be considered.
• Experience in laboratory operations, chemical processing, extraction, manufacturing, or quality control is beneficial.
• Recent graduates and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply.

Cannabis industry experience is not required.
