Tool Assistant
Location: Midland, TX
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Rotation: 14 days on / 7 days off (Monday–Sunday)
Education: No formal education required
Overtime Status: Non-Exempt
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Tool Assistant to join our team in Midland, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, experience using hand tools, and an interest in working in a manufacturing or oilfield-related environment.
The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing physical labor in a shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, inspect, disassemble, and rebuild specialized tools and equipment.
- Assist with the pickup and delivery of tools to customer field locations.
- Coordinate with customer representatives to ensure timely equipment transportation.
- Follow established work instructions and safety procedures.
- Document completed work and maintenance activities using computer software.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use.
- Assist with additional shop duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or shop environments is preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience working with tools, including disassembly, cleaning, and rebuilding, is highly preferred.
- 2–5 years of manual labor experience.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
- Computer literacy and ability to learn new software or documentation systems.
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a stable employment history.
- Must be willing to work the rotating 14-days-on / 7-days-off schedule.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a significant plus.
