Computerized Cutting Machine Operator

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator with strong measuring skills and experience working with computerized manufacturing equipment. This position involves operating cutting machinery, entering measurements into computer systems, creating or adjusting custom cutting layouts, and performing hands-on material cutting and assembly.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machinery, computerized cutting equipment, or similar production machinery and be comfortable learning new software and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate computerized cutting equipment to produce custom-cut materials according to specifications.
• Accurately measure materials using a tape measure and other measuring tools.
• Enter measurements, dimensions, and production information into computerized equipment.
• Assist with creating and adjusting custom cutting layouts using computer software.
• Work with programs such as SolidWorks, Excel, and Adobe to support production and layout requirements.
• Perform manual cutting, trimming, fitting, and assembly of materials.
• Follow production instructions and verify dimensions before and after cutting.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and proper fit.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC machines, computerized cutting equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery preferred.
• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure, including fractional measurements.
• Comfortable using computers, entering dimensions, and working with computerized machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow measurements and production specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Adobe, Excel, CAD software, or computerized cutting layouts is a plus.
• Experience with material cutting, fabrication, or hands-on assembly preferred.
