Job Description

Job Description

Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech) - Mobilization Team

Set up every site’s X-ray room and train the team that runs it.

As a Mobilization Radiologic Technologist on Alert Rescue’s Corporate Mobilization Team, you will set up each site’s X-ray room and radiation safety program, train local technologists and limited scope operators, and cover imaging shifts during stand-up. Our first deployment is a new clinic in Colorado, where the imaging scope covers extremities, chest, and spine. You will be based at our Texas corporate office and travel to project sites up to 30% of the time.

What you’ll do

When deployed, you will perform all duties of the site X-ray role, along with the shared mobilization duties and the following.

X-ray room and radiation safety

  • Set up the X-ray room with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and the Vice President (VP) of Compliance, including facility registration, a shielding review by a registered qualified expert, and inspection by a registered qualified inspector before use.

  • Set up the dosimetry (radiation exposure monitoring) program, with badges for operators unless a documented evaluation shows exposure under the monitoring threshold in Colorado radiation regulations.

  • Build technique charts, quality control logs, and the image routing and discrepancy callback workflow with the teleradiology group.

Training and coverage

  • Teach positioning, radiation protection, and patient shielding to local imaging staff.

  • Act as a qualified trainer for local staff working toward Colorado limited scope operator (LSO) registration.

  • Perform imaging on site during stand-up and testing once Alert Rescue has verified your credentials.

Scope of practice

You will work only within your license or certification in the state where care is given, and within your written Alert Rescue authorization. This role does not:

  • Perform imaging without a licensed practitioner’s order, or outside the exams in the site scope.

  • Train anyone to operate X-ray equipment without a supervised clinical plan. Colorado LSO registration requires 80 classroom hours, 480 supervised clinical hours, and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) limited scope exam, so cross-training nurses or paramedics is a months-long track, not a launch fix.

What you’ll bring

  • ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography, R.T.(R), in good standing.

  • Texas general Medical Radiologic Technologist certificate from the Texas Medical Board.

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • 5+ years of diagnostic radiography experience.

Preferred

  • Experience setting up a new imaging site, including registration or inspection.

  • Clinical instructor experience for an LSO or radiography program.

  • Experience with mobile or portable X-ray equipment.
