This position is responsible for performing Shipping and Receiving functions, as applicable, including the use of computer systems to prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for shipment. Responsibilities may also include material handling and inventory control to ensure inventory accuracy and the timely distribution of materials to designated areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and ensure they are accurately recorded and stored in the warehouse.
- Accurately pick, prepare, and process orders for shipment to customer sites in accordance with established procedures.
- Label and process packages using various shipping and freight systems, including metering equipment as needed.
- Package customer orders according to shipping specifications and established best practices, ensuring packing slips are included, open spaces are properly filled, and materials are securely prepared for shipment.
- Process shipping and receiving transactions using the SAP system.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
- Complete daily preparations to support the following day's distribution activities.
- Support divisional initiatives and objectives as directed by divisional management, including compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
