About the Role:
Tim Welch Vocal Studio in Philadelphia, PA is looking for a passionate and skilled Voice Instructor to join our team of dedicated music educators. If you love helping singers unlock their full potential and thrive in a creative, student-centered environment, this is the opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one private voice lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels at The Boom Room in Fishtown and online via Zoom.
- Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's vocal goals and abilities
- Teach proper vocal technique, including breath support, tone production, pitch, and diction
- Guide students through repertoire selection across a range of musical genres and styles
- Track student progress and provide constructive, encouraging feedback
- Prepare students for auditions, performances, recitals, and competitions as needed
- Maintain a positive, professional, and motivating studio environment
Requirements:
- Degree in Music, Vocal Performance, Music Education, or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated experience teaching private voice lessons or vocal coaching
- Strong knowledge of vocal pedagogy, music theory, and sight-reading
- Ability to work with students across multiple genres including classical, musical theatre, and contemporary
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Experience preparing students for auditions or performances is a plus
