RN - ER (Emergency Room)
Job Summary
Provides nursing care to patients experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, and emergency medical conditions. Performs rapid assessments, prioritizes patient needs, and delivers timely interventions to support stabilization and recovery.
Education & Experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room or acute care nursing experience (Preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
• Current RN license in state of practice (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (Preferred or based on facility requirements)
Key Responsibilities
• Performs rapid patient assessments and triages patients according to acuity.
• Monitors vital signs and identifies changes in patient condition.
• Administers medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments as prescribed.
• Responds promptly to medical emergencies, trauma, and critical situations.
• Assists physicians with emergency procedures and patient stabilization.
• Collaborates with the emergency care team to coordinate patient treatment.
• Provides patient and family education and emotional support.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately.
