We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead and oversee complex infrastructure and construction projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will coordinate project activities, manage teams, ensure regulatory compliance, apply knowledge of industry standards and specifications for steel contractors, create accurate take-offs, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of industry standards and specs for structural steel contractors
- Perform accurate takeoffs and bid proposals
- Coordinate shop drawings with the foreman for fabrication
- Communicate effectively with field crew throughout erection
- Material procurement and delivery schedules
- Collaborate on bidding and project budgeting
- Manage project documents, including Change Orders, RFI's, PO's, and MTR's
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with teammates, customers, and suppliers
Experience/Qualifications
- 3-5 years as a PE/PM in the structural steel industry
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, but not required
- Experience in both residential and commercial construction
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and MS Office a plus
