Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Distributed Antenna System (DAS) installer to join our team and contribute to the successful implementation and maintenance of DAS solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Below is a list of the primary responsiblities for this role:

Installation

  • Install BDA and DAS head-end equipment, backboards, battery backup and power supplies to the drawings and manufacturer requirements.

  • Install indoor antennas, splitters, tappers and couplers in junction boxes, with boxes secured to the deck and antennas mounted per the design.

  • Run, support and dress coax and fiber cabling: saddle connectors on every box entry, straps and supports at the spacing on the drawings, and clean, consistent routing.

  • Install armored cabling and junction boxes where the design calls for them, such as parking garages and stairwell risers.

  • Mount donor antennas, rooftop masts and conduit, including grounding kits and surge arrestors, to the design and the site’s roofing requirements.

  • Terminate and weatherproof connectors, and complete grounding and bonding to the building ground.

Quality and Documentation

  • Label every antenna, device and cable run to match the design and as-built drawings.

  • Take progress and closeout photos and log them in the project app as work is completed.

  • Red-line drawings with any field changes and report them to the technician or project manager the same day.

  • Keep equipment, materials and tools accounted for on site.

Site Conduct and Safety

  • Follow the lead technician’s direction and the daily plan; coordinate with the GC, electrical and fire alarm contractors as needed.

  • Work safely on lifts, ladders and roofs and in confined spaces; follow OSHA and site-specific rules, including PPE.

  • Keep work areas clean and protect finishes in occupied buildings.

  • Load, unload and stage materials; maintain the company vehicle and tools.
