Project Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer to support engineering projects within the oil and gas industry in Salt Lake City, UT. This individual will provide project management and technical engineering support throughout various phases of project execution.

The Project Engineer will support project schedules, designs, estimates, engineering specifications, drawings, materials procurement, contracts, cost tracking, and project cost projections. This position will also review technical and project documentation and work closely with engineering and project teams to support successful project execution.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity to start with potential for extension and will be performed onsite in Salt Lake City.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• 1+ years of professional engineering experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to review and interpret technical and engineering documentation

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within the oil & gas, energy, utilities, or related industrial environments
• Experience reviewing material test records
• Experience reviewing piping drawings
• Familiarity with purchase order documentation and materials procurement
• Experience supporting engineering projects involving schedules, specifications, cost tracking, or project documentation
