Client searching for a qualified structural engineer to oversee projects and ensure that budget, timeline, and quality goals are met. The structural engineer will analyze project goals, design structural elements, perform field visits, make safety recommendations, and maintain a project database. We're looking for a detail-oriented problem-solver with a project management background.

Duties

  • Design and analyze structures using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D

  • Develop and review structural plans, specifications, and calculations

  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes

  • Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs or modifications

  • Prepare construction documents, including drawings and reports

  • Oversee construction projects to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards

  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and drafters

  • Make recommendations for materials to use and safety measures to take

  • Oversee project management, like tracking budgets and maintaining a database of projects and their progress

  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • 3+ years experience in Structural Engineering

  • Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit and Civil 3D

  • Strong knowledge of structural design principles and building codes

  • Experience with system design and project engineering

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Must be a US citizen
