Avacend Health is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) for an assignment at Enloe Medical Center in Chico, California.

This day-shift position primarily supports inpatient interventional radiology procedures. The RN will provide care before, during, and after procedures while working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The position may also involve floating to other radiology nursing areas as needed. No holiday coverage is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-procedure patient assessments and prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures.
  • Provide nursing care throughout inpatient IR procedures.
  • Assist with procedural sedation and monitor patients during procedures.
  • Provide patient recovery care and post-procedure monitoring.
  • Assess patient conditions and recognize changes requiring intervention.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
  • Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards.
  • Float to other radiology nursing areas as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology RN experience.
  • Active California Registered Nurse license.
  • Experience with procedural sedation and patient recovery.
  • Experience using Epic EMR.
  • Current CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Strong patient assessment, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
