Summary of Job Description:
Overseeing the overall development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency, quality, and productivity. Involves managing projects, analyzing processes, and implementing corrective actions to minimize defects and enhance production performance. Also Involves maintaining the premises, managing utilities, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluating the feasibility of development projects, considering factors such as resources, costs, and timelines.
- Completing development planning reports, outlining the necessary steps and resources required for successful project implementation.
- Managing development time frames and schedules, ensuring that projects are completed within the allocated time frame.
- Production Optimization: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuous improvement by implementing lean manufacturing principles, fostering innovation, and driving efficiency initiatives.
- Analyzing and improving defect rates, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to minimize defects.
- Providing insights and recommendations for improving production efficiency and profitability.
- Analyzing CAPA and equipment orders to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Analyzing processes and managing equipment CAPA, identifying areas of improvement and implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- create and implement preventive maintenance strategies, troubleshooting equipment failures, and coordinating with external contractors managing the layout of the plant floor to maximize efficiency and ensure smooth workflow
- Overseeing the repair and maintenance of the premises, ensuring a safe and functional working environment.
- Managing utilities such as electricity, air conditioning, and water management to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implementing safety upgrades within the production plant floor to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Creating yearly plans for facility maintenance, outlining maintenance activities and budgets required for optimal facility performance.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Managing the maintenance budget by forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and ensuring cost-effective maintenance practices.
- Management of KPIs, MTBF, and MTTR
- Establish and implement cycle time management
- Wood pattern management
Education/ Qualifications:
- Bilingual Korean and English preferred
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment is essential
- Understanding principles of mechanical systems, automation, robotics, and maintenance strategies.
- Understanding of the CAD system
- Familiar with Electrical work
- At least 8-10 years of work experience in the manufacturing setting
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Training Required:
- Complete New Hire Orientation Training.
- OSHA 10 and 30 Certification
- First Aid/ CPR
- Forklift training and is able to certify Forklift drivers
- LOTO certification
- Complete training on the machine safety
- OSHA / SAFETY Compliance Training.
