General Laborer

LEGACY CONSTRUCTION GUTTER AND STEEL LLC is seeking a full-time General Laborer to support construction and installation work at our onsite locations in Rochester, IL.

As a General Laborer, you will help keep projects moving by supporting skilled trades and assisting with a variety of hands-on tasks related to construction, materials handling, and jobsite readiness. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working outdoors and on active job sites.

You’ll contribute to a high-performing team by following work instructions, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and assisting with tasks that support timely project completion.

• Assist with setup and teardown of jobsite areas, including organization of materials and equipment.

• Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, and basic material preparation.

• Support installation activities as directed by supervisors or experienced team members.

• Maintain jobsite cleanliness by removing debris, keeping pathways clear, and supporting overall site organization.

• Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of tools and materials, to help ensure a safe work environment.

• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and standing for extended periods in varying weather conditions.

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and team leads.

• Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.

• Basic comfort working in active construction environments and with hand tools.

• Commitment to safety practices and jobsite conduct.

• Prior experience in construction, general labor, or a related hands-on role.

• Familiarity with jobsite safety practices and basic tool use.

• Comfort working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience assisting with building materials handling or installation support tasks.

Hourly rate: $16.00 - $20.00
