Operating Room Nurse

Location: Cheshire, CT 06410
Pay Range: $50-$60 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, primarily 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Employment Options: Contract-to-Hire
Weekends: No weekends

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong orthopedic background to join a fast-paced, orthopedic-focused surgical team.

The OR RN will provide perioperative nursing support across a variety of orthopedic procedures while helping maintain efficient operating room workflow, patient safety, and high-quality surgical care.

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced, orthopedic-focused operating room.
• Prepare, organize, and turn over operating rooms between surgical cases.
• Select and prepare surgical cases, ensuring operating rooms are properly equipped.
• Support orthopedic procedures, including:
  • Shoulder scopes
  • Knee scopes
  • ACL repairs
  • Total joint replacements
  • Total shoulder replacements
• Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to facilitate efficient case turnover and patient care.
• Occasionally provide support in the pain/procedure room.
• Work collaboratively with other OR staff to expedite cases and maintain efficient workflow.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Previous operating room nursing experience.
• Orthopedic OR experience is required.
• Ideally 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Candidates with at least 1 year of hands-on orthopedic OR experience may also be considered.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
