Tax Associate

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Handle the preparation of complex individual and business tax returns
• Support tax research projects and contribute to tax projections
• Build strong relationships internally and with clients
• Contribute to the success of clients' tax strategies
• Assist in the development of junior team members
• Support senior team in IRS & state Resolution matters

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 2-3 years of progressive tax experience
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
• Strong experience with tax preparation software
• Ability to complete complex tax returns with minimal assistance
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Progress towards CPA or EA certification
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Utilization target: 95%
• Realization target: 90%
• Accuracy rate in complex tax returns: 90%
• Timely completion of assigned tasks: 90%
• Client retention rate: 90%
• Implementation of one innovative tax solution for clients annually
• Aid the senior team in completion of 3 tax memos a year
• Review a mix of corporate and personal tax returns throughout the year
