We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our team. You’ll work alongside our skilled technicians (more than 60 years of combined experience) and our existing service writers. This is a customer-facing role where strong communication, organization, and a sales-oriented mindset make a real difference.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, listen carefully to their concerns, and accurately document issues for the technicians.
- Create clear, accurate estimates and present repair recommendations in plain language.
- Obtain customer authorization and keep them updated on status, findings, and timelines (in person, by phone, and via text).
- Coordinate with technicians on vehicle status, parts needs, and priorities.
- Work with parts vendors on pricing and availability.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and help manage the flow of the shop.
- Support sales of maintenance, repairs, tires, and recommended services while remaining transparent and customer-focused.
- Keep the front office clean, organized, and professional.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in a similar customer-facing automotive role.
- Strong communication skillsable to explain technical issues simply and build trust with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable with shop management software, computers, and basic math.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to stay calm and positive in a busy environment.
- A genuine focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork.
- ASE Service Consultant certification is a plus but not required.
