Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

FSS Staffing is currently hiring a Production Supervisor in East Rutherford, NJ!

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily production and sanitation operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience supervising production teams, and a solid understanding of food safety, quality control, and manufacturing processes.

This position is responsible for ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, quality, and employee performance.

Location: East Rutherford, NJ

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Schedule: 2nd Shift (PM)

Job Type: Full-Time

• Supervise daily production and sanitation operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee machine operators, mixers, packers, and other production personnel.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure production schedules are met.
• Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to production employees.
• Monitor production performance and ensure daily operational goals are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
• Inspect production equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are maintained.
• Verify that proper materials are used throughout the manufacturing process.
• Ensure employees follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased productivity.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to production employees.
• Support quality audits and address production or quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of food processing operations, GMP, and OSHA safety standards.
• Previous experience supervising production employees and managing daily workflow.
• Ability to lead, motivate, train, and develop employees.
• Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP and ADP systems preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting production deadlines.
• Must be available to work 2nd shift (PM), including occasional weekends and overtime as needed.
