Job Title: Construction Inspector (CI) – Federal Barracks Renovation
- Location: U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT
- Job Type: Full-time (40 hours/week; on-site)
Overview & Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time, on-site quality assurance and contract oversight for the Coast Guard Barracks Renovation project.
- Ensure design/build work complies strictly with contract drawings, specifications, and RFP guide standards.
- Inspect multi-disciplinary work: slate roof replacement, window/envelope repairs, HVAC/MEP updates, fire alarm & sprinkler systems, interior repairs, elevator replacement, CCTV security, asbestos/lead abatement, and ADA accessibility additions.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of applicable construction inspection experience on similar projects.
- Federal Work: Minimum 2 years of experience on Federal Government construction projects
- Technical Ability: Capable of reading and interpreting contract drawings and technical specifications
