Sous Chef

As a Sous Chef, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Working closely with the executive or head chef, you’ll help maintain food quality, consistency, and an efficient workflow. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing meals according to specifications and ensuring timely service.
• Assisting in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing.
• Overseeing kitchen inventory, stock rotation, and ingredient freshness.
• Maintaining sanitation, safety standards, and compliance with health regulations.
• Stepping into the head chef’s role during absences to manage full kitchen operations.
• Training new kitchen staff and ensuring adherence to kitchen standards.

We’re seeking a Sous Chef with at least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen. The ideal candidate will bring strong culinary skills and leadership qualities to the table. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:

• Proficiency in cooking techniques.
• Leadership and staff supervision abilities to guide and inspire the team.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and health codes.
• Clear and effective communication with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
