Assembly Operator - 1st Shift

Openwork is hiring dependable and motivated Assembly Operators for a well-established global manufacturer in Northwest Houston, TX 77018.

With more than 70 years of industry experience, our client specializes in manufacturing high-quality wooden cable reels distributed worldwide.

This hands-on opportunity is ideal for individuals with manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse experience who enjoy working with tools, following production standards, and being part of a team.

This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity offering $17.00 per hour, with weekly pay and potential for long-term employment.

• Location: Northwest Houston, TX 77018

• Pay: $17.00 per hour | Weekly Pay

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Shift: 1st Shift

• Employment: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

• Overtime: Possible, including occasional Saturdays

• Assemble pre-cut wooden components into finished cable reels.

• Use hand tools and measuring devices to complete assembly work accurately.

• Weigh, label, and tag finished products according to specifications.

• Apply grease for waterproofing and product protection.

• Inspect completed reels for defects and quality concerns.

• Follow production instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.

• Assist with additional manufacturing, warehouse, and production duties as needed.

• 1–2 years of manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse experience required.

• Experience using hand tools and measuring devices is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

• Comfortable performing physically demanding work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending and lifting.

• Availability to work occasional overtime, including Saturdays, as needed.
