Precision CNC Programmer-Operator (Fanuc/Siemens)

You’ll own the journey from print to parttranslating blueprints and GD&T into accurate CNC programs, setting up mills and lathes, and turning out top-quality components. If you value craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement, this full-time Evaluation Hire role is built for you.

Start by reviewing work orders, drawings, materials, and specifications. Decide on stock, verify availability, and help expedite orders when needed. You’ll program Fanuc and Siemens controls, define zero and reference points, set tool registers and offsets, and validate programs with a keen eye for geometry and basic trigonometry. After programming, you’ll set up three- and four-jaw chucks, collets, vices (indicating and tramming), and any required attachments. Load stock, run first-article checks, and verify settings to international standards. Throughout the shift, you’ll monitor drilling, grooving, turning, facing, knurling, and thread-chasing operationsmaking adjustments, troubleshooting processes, and sharpening or replacing tools to hold spec. You’ll document everything: production counts, quality checks, and shift notes to keep continuity strong. Preventive maintenance and safe work practices are second nature, and you’ll stay current by reading technical publications and seeking learning opportunities.

• Interpret work orders, orthographic drawings, engineering plans, materials, specs, and GD&T.
• Manage stock: check on-hand levels, anticipate needs, place/expedite orders, and verify receipts.
• Program mills/lathes: define zero/reference, tool registers, offsets, compensation, conditional switches; verify via math/geometry/trig.
• Set up equipment: chucks, tools, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock pushers; indicate vices and tram heads.
• Load feed mechanisms and position material safely.
• Validate setups and first-run parts per international standards.
• Maintain spec through in-process measurement; troubleshoot and reprogram as needed.
• Follow quality assurance procedures and safety regulations at all times.
• Complete preventive maintenance; follow OEM guidance; call in repairs when required.
• Document production/quality logs and ensure shift-to-shift continuity.
• Pursue ongoing learning and support continuous improvement; take ownership of new requests and value-add ideas.
