Lab Technician

Position: Lab Technician - 2nd Shift
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM-1:00 AM
Shift Differential: Additional $1.75 per hour
Overtime: Mandatory overtime as required
Employment Type: Full-Time

GRT Rubber is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our 2nd shift team at our Ripley, MS facility. This position is responsible for performing laboratory testing on rubber materials and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.

• Perform laboratory testing on rubber samples and finished products.

• Verify the quality of mixed rubber batches from production.

• Test materials to ensure compliance with established specifications and quality standards.

• Operate laboratory testing equipment and accurately document results.

• Prepare rubber samples, blend rubber chemicals, and assist with laboratory trial batches.

• Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory reports and testing records.

• Assist with improvements to laboratory testing procedures and processes.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Mechanical or technical aptitude.

• Ability to read and follow written instructions, safety procedures, and work instructions.

• Basic math skills, including decimals.

• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Previous laboratory, quality control, or manufacturing experience preferred.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform hands-on laboratory work.

• Ability to lift, lower, and carry materials weighing up to 60 pounds.

• Ability to work safely around manufacturing and laboratory equipment.

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

• 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM-1:00 AM

• Shift Differential: Additional $1.75 per hour

• Mandatory overtime as needed based on production requirements.
