Sales Internship

Great River Learning is offering a hands-on Sales Internship that runs from May through early August, with the potential to extend the internship during school and for full-time employment upon graduation.

This opportunity is designed for sophomores through seniors who can work in person at our Dubuque, Iowa office during the summer. If you're curious about a career in outside sales and want to build real-world skills in a growth-focused, mentor-driven environment, this may be the perfect next step.

In this internship, you'll learn the fundamentals of professional selling and start applying them right away. You'll work alongside seasoned AMs, Regional Directors, and company leadership, gaining exposure to every stage of our outreach process:

• Learn how to identify business potential by researching college professors and course materials
• Send outreach emails and make phone calls to schedule introductory meetings
• Use CRM tools to track outreach and follow up with prospective and existing authors
• Support real sales conversations that lead to author recruitment and new product development
• You'll receive hands-on coaching and personalized feedback so you can build confidence and competence throughout the semester.

We don't expect perfection - we're looking for potential. The ideal candidate is:

• Interested in learning about sales, influence, and consultative relationships
• A sophomore through senior at a four-year college or university
• Able to work on-site in Dubuque, Iowa during the summer
• Organized, proactive, and dependable (you follow through on commitments)
• Energized by goals, structure, and meaningful feedback
• A natural communicator with a positive outlook and sense of ownership
• Whether you're a business, marketing, communication, or liberal arts major - if you're curious and driven, we want to hear from you.

By the end of this internship, you'll have:

• Clear exposure to what a career in outside sales really looks like
• Experience with outreach, CRM tools, prospect development, and objection handling
• Meaningful feedback and mentorship to help you grow
