Medical Receptionist

MVPT Physical Therapy, a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy in the Northeast, is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team. Monday-Friday full-time. Our Ithaca Downtown clinic has an energetic, close-knit team that enjoys working together and creating a welcoming environment for both patients and one another. With a spacious, newly built clinic, there's plenty of room to collaborate while providing personalized care. Located in downtown Ithaca, we're within walking distance of local restaurants, shops, and many public transportation options. We're also just minutes from Ithaca College and Cornell University, making it a convenient location that's well connected to the surrounding community.

What You'll Do

• Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service
• Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments
• Verify insurance benefits and explain patient financial responsibilities
• Manage patient intake forms and maintain accurate records
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and insurance approvals
• Support clinic operations and maintain efficient schedules
• Assist with billing, payments, and administrative tasks

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or front desk role required
• Knowledge of insurance verification and patient financial responsibilities preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Hourly pay $18.00 - $19.00
