THE POSITION
The University of Canyon State Electric (UCSE) is seeking an experienced electrician to teach our in-house NCCER electrical apprenticeship curriculum. This is a limited part-time role, approximately two afternoons per week, beginning with a new apprentice cohort in January 2027.
The instructor will lead NCCER Core and the beginning of Electrical Level 1, combining classroom instruction with hands-on lab work. Classes are scheduled Mondays and Tuesdays from 4:00–6:00 PM, plus additional time for class setup, so apprentices can attend after their day-shift field hours. The instructor brings real-world jobsite experience into the training environment, ensuring apprentices master both NCCER theory and the practical skills CSE expects on data center, healthcare, and commercial projects. The ideal candidate is a working or recently working journeyman or master electrician who is energized by mentoring and committed to safety and craftsmanship.
