About the Role

  • Build and maintain 3D simulations to validate engineering requirements
  • Write system specs, spare parts lists, and maintenance and operation manuals
  • Create the Robot Safety Risk Assessment and review it with the project team
  • Coordinate internal design resources, line up outside design/build suppliers, review quotes and place orders
  • Set runoff criteria and run buyoffs of supplier-built equipment before it ships
  • Support field installation, debug and customer plant buyoff
  • Review project budget and schedule with the Project Manager and give forecast updates
  • Deliver documentation for customer approval, approve redlines on the floor, and deliver the as-built package

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years in mechanical system engineering, design and integration of robotic automation systems
