Director, IT Digital Technology
Responsible for METRO's web, mobile and digital environments. Identifies, builds and manages METRO's digital technology portfolio. Provides strategic planning, execution, optimization, and project management of Information Technology's (IT's) digital technology projects. Directs and manages a multi-disciplinary team, including staff, contractors and vendors to build, develop, and manage modern digital based solutions to meet METRO's IT business goals and objectives. Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures.
Responsibilities and Specific Duties:
Provides primary managerial direction and performs personnel administrative functions of direct report staff (e.g. training, supervising, work assignments, timesheets, performance evaluations, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining necessary staffing, enhancing productivity of staff and ensuring necessary department outcomes are achieved.
Researches, identifies and recommends innovative technology solutions to support evolving Authority needs aligned with METRO's business strategies.
Responsible for formulating and communicating strategic direction of METRO's digital technology's portfolio to senior management.
Directs the implementation of IT's programs and projects, maintaining scope, schedule and budget.
Directs the creation and/or implementation of digital products and/or services.
Directs, monitors and reports system irregularities and develops management controls that proactively identify and mitigate risks to the Authority's systems.
Develops business case justification and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
Manages all assigned capital and operating budgets.
Develops and monitors internal team processes, procedures and system documentation.
Partners with internal and external content managers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure technologies meet customer's and METRO's needs; align with brand strategy; and meet industry standards.
Responsible for compliance with METRO's change management processes and ensures all systems and changes are fully documented.
Promotes safety awareness and follows safety procedures in an effort to reduce or eliminate accidents.
Performs other duties as assigned.
